The hard work of Van Putte Landscape has paid off again with another Environmental Beautification Award from the NYS Nursery & Landscape Association. You may remember last year’s award for the Civic Center Green Roof project! This year’s award is again in the “Commercial over $100,000” category, and was awarded for our work on the Routes 5 & 20 Seneca Falls Redesign project in downtown Seneca Falls. Four Van Putte Landscape crews worked during the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013, constructing an almost mile-long flagstone walkway plus bio retention swales, installing tree, shrub and wetland plantings, hydro seeding and installing sod. The project site passes through the heart of downtown Seneca Falls and the historic district. The crews took extra care near the historical fences, buildings and monuments nearby the construction areas. We are so proud to be recognized by NYSNLA for all the hard work put into this project! QUICK FACTS: • 3 acres of turf installed • Half an acre of sod installed • 1 mile long flagstone walkway installed • Each 4’x4′ flagstone weighed 600 pounds • 90 large trees plante
