We’re often asked the question here at Van Putte Gardens, “What’s best for the environment?” Although the answers can be endless, one thing we can do for the environment is to teach our children how to love and respect nature. Over the years we have learned that the immediate and long-term benefits of encouraging kids to plant and maintain their own gardens are enormous.

In December of 1994, Van Putte Gardens established a kids gardening group called Kids Grow Club! We believe the garden is an excellent place to encourage a child’s creativity, curiosity, and self-discipline. Our grow club is open to kids ages 5-12, and easy to join!

Our seasonal meetings expose children to the beauty of nature with various organic and vegetable gardening projects and other nature activities designed to appeal to several different age groups. You’ll be surprised what you can learn in a child’s garden, and the opportunity to hear a child’s thoughts will help you guide their personal growth as well as their gardening growth.

Membership Benefits:

The club meets 2 times a year and creates a fun seasonal project.

Children can learn from experts about garden seeds, plants, trees, bird feeding, and much more!
