Generally, taking your work home with you is a bad thing, but at Van Putte’s, we’ve all got our green thumbs at work even at home. Check out this gallery of a few of our staff members’ gardens. We can generally find a way to garden anywhere and every which way, all season long!
Chris’s home garden boasts potatoes, broccoli, onions, eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, all in containers!
Sharon’s garden also has a variety of vegetables, but in raised beds.
Steve grows all kinds of vegetables in his backyard!
Sue and Carl have a gorgeous dogwood in their front garden bed.
Jen grows tomatoes, spinach, strawberries and herbs along with her indoor plants in her downtown apartment.
Ian’s deck container garden houses all sorts of vegetables, most in containers he built!
Loren has a shady “secret garden” getaway spot in her backyard.
Richard’s flower beds house a variety of perennials (he should, since he works in the nursery!).
Hope’s water garden is a particularly lush and green spot amongst her many gardens.
And last but not least (though probably smallest) is Bill’s marina garden just off the boat — ahoy!
