Kids Grow Club – DIY Beaded Plant Hanger Workshop

Description

Join the fun and watch creativity bloom as Grow Club Members (ages 5 – 12) explore plants and get crafty with a hands-on activity. Kids will learn plant basics and take a behind the scenes tour through one of our working greenhouses to see how our seedlings are growing. Then, kids will be guided through all the steps to make their own plant hanger where they will have the freedom to decorate the planter base and string beads in a color combination of their choosing. As an added bonus, kids will pick out their very own 4″ African violet to take home to display in their beautiful, homemade planter.

PLEASE NOTE:

• There are TWO meetings – be sure to select the appropriate class time.
• Space is limited so register early.
• All participants will receive a $5 voucher to use on anything in the garden center (expires 4/30/23). Voucher will be given at the event.
• Meeting will probably take about 1 hour.
• Kids should wear play clothes. Layers are suggested as the greenhouse can fluctuate in temperature based outdoor temperature.
• Parental assistance is required.
