The holiday season is synonymous with the warmth of family gatherings, twinkling lights, and the centerpiece of it all—the Christmas tree. This beloved tradition brings joy and festive spirit into our homes, making it an integral part of our celebrations. Whether you’re a long-time tree aficionado or a newcomer to the fresh-cut tree tradition, by following the tips below you can ensure that your Christmas tree remains beautiful and fragrant throughout the holiday season.

• If not already cut by one of our staff members, put a fresh cut of at least 1/2″ on the bottom of your tree prior to bringing it into your home

• Place tree in water ASAP once it has a fresh cut

• Check water level daily – it should not drop below the base of the trunk, or your tree will not be able to absorb water

• If your tree is not taking up water after one or two days, remove it from the stand and re-cut the bottom of the trunk

• To extend the life of your tree place it away from major heat sources (such as fireplaces, heat vents, heaters, and direct sunlight) and use small bulbs that do not give off much heat

• Consider adding a tree preservative, such as Prolong, to your plant stand water to keep your tree fresher for longer!
