So you’ve decided you’re ready to get your hands dirty and take on the possibilities and challenges of your own backyard — that’s great!

We are happy to share advice on everything from plant choice, to which topsoil is best for your project, to how much landscaping stone or mulch you will really need for that planting bed. Whether your plan involves garden bed installation, tree & shrub plantings, water gardens, or something else your imagination has dreamed up, talking with our on-site Green Thumb staff can be invaluable to the DIY home landscaper. Be sure to bring notes on dimensions, exposure and sunlight, and photos if possible. No matter your style or ideas, we’d bet our Green Thumbs have a tip or two that even the most seasoned DIY-er can take advantage of, so stop by and let us help your garden grow!

Please Note: Most people find they are ready to bring home their plants that day, but we can also reserve them for you for future pick-up, or even arrange delivery. Our tree & shrub nursery is extremely customer-friendly with its mix of paved and gravel walkways, but we certainly suggest proper footwear and clothing so it’s easy to walk around, learn, and explore the plants up close.
