Kids Grow Club Creates Fall-tastical Creatures!

The October 2013 meeting of the Kids Grow Club was tons of fun as usual!  We had over 35 kids ages 5-12 come for the “Create Your Own Pumpkin Creature” meeting on Sunday afternoon.

The pumpkins, glue, and materials ready and waiting for everyone to arrive!

There were a few googly eyes and pipe-cleaners in the mix, but everything else the kids used to decorate was straight from the garden and the great outdoors — acorns, cattails, sunflower seeds, pinecones, Indian corn and corn husks, ornamental grasses, pond fronds, hydrangea blossoms… the list goes on!

The first group gathers their materials for decorating their pumpkin creatures; choosing materials is serious business.

They imagined and created a great group of cute creatures, silly animals, scary monsters, and everything in between.

Creating the perfect pumpkin creature was tons of fun for the kids… and parents too!
