Introduced to the US in 1842 (Belgian pear).  Crisp, sweet, juicy fruits store well – up to seven months; harvest in September.  Great for baking and snacking.  Standard size tree.  Requires a pollinator (different pear variety) planted nearby for fruit production.

Plant in full-sun and water regularly.
